Radio Pakistan and BCCI Explore Partnership to Enhance Local Industry and Job Opportunities in Bahawalpur

Bahawalpur: Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Sheikh met with Syed Zafar Sharif, President of the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), at the Chamber’s office in Bahawalpur to discuss cooperation aimed at promoting local industry and creating employment opportunities in the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on exploring avenues for collaboration between Radio Pakistan and the local business community to highlight the industrial potential and economic opportunities in Bahawalpur and the surrounding areas. Saeed Ahmed Sheikh highlighted Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur’s role since its establishment in 1975 in contributing to the cultural, agricultural, economic, and literary development of South Punjab through its programming and public service broadcasting.

Saeed Ahmed Sheikh emphasized the importance of infrastructure development and improving facilities at Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur to enhance its service to the region. Syed Zafar Sharif expressed appreciation for Radio Pakistan’s contributions and assured support from the Chamber for initiatives related to infrastructure development and strengthening the Bahawalpur station.

The discussions also included identifying possible areas of cooperation to promote business activities, industrial awareness, and economic growth in the region. It was agreed that a delegation from the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry will visit Radio Pakistan headquarters in Islamabad to further institutional collaboration.

The meeting was attended by various stakeholders, including Vice President BCCI Muhammad Azam Qureshi, Executive Committee members Manzoor Ayaz Khan and Azra Mehmood Sheikh, BCCI member Faisal Nadeem, Member Cantonment Board Bahawalpur Rehan Bin Javed, Syed Tanseer Tirmizi, IRO FBR RTO Bahawalpur, and Station Director Radio Pakistan Islamabad Imran Javed.
