Radio Pakistan Lahore Marks Independence Day with Flag Hoisting Ceremony

Lahore: The Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) Lahore Station commemorated Independence Day with a special flag hoisting ceremony, held amid heavy rain, reflecting the unwavering spirit of national pride. Station Director Dr. Ahmer Sohail Basra, along with Controller News Sajjad Parvez, renowned broadcaster Khalid Abbas Dar, and other staff members, hoisted the national flag at the station’s premises.

According to Radio Pakistan, following the flag hoisting, a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony took place in the studio, attended by artists, sectional heads, and staff members of Radio Pakistan Lahore. In his welcome address, Station Director Dr. Ahmer Sohail Basra paid tribute to the forefathers who made sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan, as well as to the Armed Forces for their commitment and service in defending the nation.

The event was imbued with a strong sense of national unity and patriotic fervor.
