Multan:A two-day training program organized by the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation has commenced at Radio Pakistan Multan to enhance the professional broadcasting and communication skills of young comperes, radio jockeys, news readers, and interns.
According to Radio Pakistan, this initiative follows a successful program held in Lahore and aims to provide participants with practical exposure and develop the skills necessary for effective and responsible communication. The program aligns with the emphasis placed by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on the professional training of young broadcasters.
At the conclusion of the previous training program in Lahore, Minister Attaullah Tarar highlighted the importance of effective communication skills in all areas of practical life, noting that such training benefits participants both professionally and personally. He expressed confidence that Radio Pakistan’s training initiatives would help young broadcasters maintain national integrity, professional ethics, institutional norms, and social responsibility.
The Minister described the young generation as a valuable asset to Pakistan and addressed the challenges of misinformation and disinformation in the digital age, underscoring the need for professional and responsible communication. He also announced the establishment of a Training Institute at Radio Pakistan Lahore and encouraged female participants to draft a Charter of Demand for workplace harassment prevention. Additionally, he declared honorarium for the officers involved in the training.
The program in Multan is part of Radio Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to equip young individuals with the skills needed to navigate the dynamic media landscape.
