According to Radio Pakistan, the station has played a significant role in reviving the cultural traditions and civilization of South Punjab. Over the years, it has introduced several renowned singers and artists to the nation. Some of the notable names that emerged from this platform include Naheed Akhtar, Pathane Khan, Mansoor Malangi, Surayya Multanikar, Meena Lodhi, Naeemul Hasan Babloo, Sohail Asghar, Mohsin Gillani, and Zahid Salim, among many others.
