Rana Sanaullah Invites Opposition to Join Dialogue Process

Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah has once again extended an invitation to the opposition to engage in dialogue to address political and other pressing issues. Responding to a motion in the Senate, he emphasized that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has consistently called upon the opposition, from the floor of the National Assembly, to engage in discussions focused on economic and political stability.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Adviser addressed concerns related to incidents on May 9, stating that attacks on state institutions are being managed within the boundaries of the constitutional and legal framework. He clarified that the authority to provide any form of relief in criminal cases rests solely with the courts, as Parliament cannot overturn court rulings.

Rana Sanaullah also mentioned that the PTI founder and his spouse are receiving adequate medical and other facilities in accordance with the jail manual. Additionally, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar informed the House that issues related to the PTI founder’s prison conditions have been reviewed by judicial and legal bodies, with reports presented to courts and international parliamentary forums.

The House is scheduled to reconvene at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday.
