Rangers Sepoy Martyred in AJK Road Clearance Operation

Islamabad: In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, a Rangers personnel was martyred and another was injured in an armed attack by miscreants during a road clearance operation. According to Radio Pakistan, snipers from the armed group opened fire on law enforcement personnel during a clearance operation on the Sarsawa-Tararkhel road, martyring Rangers Sepoy Shah Nawaz and injuring Lance Naik Bilal.

The clearance operation is being carried out following demands from local residents to reopen blocked routes amid severe difficulties in transportation and shortages of food supplies. According to experts, the use of sophisticated weapons and explosives by the armed group of miscreants against security personnel constitutes terrorism carried out as part of a well-planned campaign.

They said the unprecedented sacrifices of the security forces underscore the imperative of establishing and safeguarding the writ of the state under all circumstances. Experts stressed that immediate and strict legal action against the armed groups involved in attacks on state institutions is urgently needed.
