Reforms Underway to Strengthen Energy Sector: Awais

Islamabad: Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has announced that the government is implementing key reforms to bolster the energy sector and provide relief for consumers. The initiative aims to introduce a competitive electricity market that will offer affordable electricity to the public.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a ceremony in Islamabad, the Minister highlighted that increased private sector participation is expected to enhance efficiency, transparency, and performance within the power sector. He emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in implementing structural reforms designed to modernize the energy system and ensure its long-term sustainability.
