Religious Scholars Advocate for Strict Enforcement of International Laws Against Blasphemy

Islamabad: Religious scholars have called for the strict implementation of international laws to prevent blasphemous actions and urged non-Muslim countries to take effective measures to ensure the respect of the holy Prophets (Peace Be Upon Them) and the sanctities of Islam. The meeting emphasized the need for enacting international laws to prevent blasphemous actions under the guise of freedom of expression.

According to Radio Pakistan, an appeal was made to religious scholars across the country to highlight the importance of protecting the sanctity of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alaihi Wasallam during Friday sermons. The scholars were also encouraged to educate the youth about the positive and constructive use of social media while refraining from sharing blasphemous or provocative content.

It was further announced that the next National Seerat-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) Conference will focus on the topic: “State Responsibilities in Educating and Training the Beneficial Use of Social Media – In the Light of the Seerat Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alaihi Wasallam.”
