Rescue and Relief Efforts by Pakistan Army in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Flood Zones

Peshawar: Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps North are actively engaged in rescue and relief operations in the rain and flood-affected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Urban Search and Rescue Teams from the Corps of Engineers of Pakistan Army are working to recover injured individuals and deceased bodies from debris in areas including Buner, Shangla, and Swat. Additionally, Pakistani soldiers are repairing damaged bridges and clearing blocked roads.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Corps of Engineers troops have successfully opened several communication roads to connect the affected areas, facilitating aid delivery and evacuation. Despite challenging weather conditions, Pakistan Army helicopters are conducting rescue missions, while army doctors have established medical camps in the region. These camps are distributing free medicines to those in need.

The Pakistan Army is providing one-day ration items to those impacted by the floods and delivering essential supplies such as beds and tents to affected families. In addition, emergency operations are underway in the tehsil Topi of Swabi following landslides and torrential rain.

Efforts by the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps North will continue until all affected individuals are safely relocated. Local residents have expressed satisfaction and gratitude for the army’s ongoing assistance.
