Resolving Chinese Investors’ Issues Govt’s Top Priority: Ahsan

Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has chaired a special meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Chinese Investment Projects in Islamabad to review the progress of various projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The meeting focused on addressing issues faced by Chinese investors.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that resolving problems faced by Chinese investors is a top priority of the government. He stated that the government is committed to ensuring a safe and conducive environment for Chinese investment, which is crucial for bilateral cooperation in new sectors under CPEC Phase II.

Ahsan Iqbal also noted that CPEC has the potential to play a significant role in increasing regional cooperation, with the Gwadar Port poised to become a hub of regional trade. He highlighted the importance of protecting the interests of local fishermen in Gwadar, urging that the pace of water and power projects in the area should be accelerated.
