Karachi: It is hereby informed to all market participants that, due to the announcement of book closure dates of below mentioned companies, trading and settlement schedule of DFC-SEP-2024, DFC-OCT-2024 and DFC-NOV-2024 (notified earlier vide PSX/N-607 dated 28th June 2024, PSX/N-724 dated 26th July 2024 and PSX/N-840 dated 30th August 2024) shall be changed accordingly.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange has revised the trading and settlement dates for Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) for September, October, and November 2024. The changes affect contracts associated with several major companies including Air Link Communication Limited, The Hub Power Company Limited, International Industries Limited, International Steels Limited, and Lucky Cement Limited.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the updated trading and settlement schedule for contracts with entitlement of benefits will have the DFC for September 2024 opening on July 1 and closing on September 11, with settlement on September 13. The October and November contracts will follow the same pattern of dates.
Without the entitlement of benefits, the September contract (SEPB) will open on September 9 and close on September 27, with settlement on October 1. The October (OCTB) and November (NOVB) contracts will close on October 25 and November 29 respectively, with settlements occurring shortly thereafter.
The PSX has also noted that trades of the above-mentioned securities in the SEPB, OCTB, and NOVB contracts will not be eligible for the payment of benefits and will be traded on an ex-benefit basis. Moreover, a rollover period for these securities will span three trading days, from September 9 to September 11, 2024.
The exchange reserves the right to alter these dates or adjust the contract periods if necessary.
