Rich tributes paid to Qazi Nisar on his anniversary

Srinagar, June 20, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid rich tributes to noted Islamic scholar, Qazi Nisar, on his martyrdom anniversary. The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement issued in Srinagar remembering Qazi Nisar on his martyrdom anniversary hailed his religious, social and political contribution. He said that Qazi Nisar was a religious scholar and a humble person.

The Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar said that Qazi Nisar was a great scholar and a religious, political and social leader and his contribution would always be remembered. He said Qazi Nisar dedicated his life to a noble and just cause of Kashmir, adding that the sacrifices given by the people and the leadership were priceless and could not be forgotten.

The Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar termed Qazi Nisar as a religious, political and social leader. He added that Qazi Nisar’s struggle and sacrifices could not be ignored by anyone.

The High Court Bar Association of the territory in a statement in Srinagar paid rich tributes to Qazi Nisar on his martyrdom anniversary and said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would definitely bring positive results soon. On the other hand, Indian police arrested Hurriyat leaders including Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Qazi Yasir, Hakim Abdul Rasheed, Bilal Siddiqi, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Bashir Irfani and Muhammad Ahsaan Untoo in Lal Chowk area of Islamabad town when they were paying tribute to Qazi Nisar at a rally.
