Rich tributes paid to three Shopian martyrs

Srinagar, May 04, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to the three Kashmiri youth martyred by Indian troops in Shopian district, yesterday. The troops martyred the youth, Lateef Ahmed Dar, Tariq Molvi and Shariq Ahmed Negroo, during a violent cordon and search operation in Imam Sahib area of the district.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said the Indian leaders’ insensitivity, unconcern, denial and unrealistic approach is the sole reason for the unabated bloodshed in occupied Kashmir. He reiterated his stance that loss of human lives is a cause of serious concern for every noble soul, adding there is no other option other than to honour and safeguard every precious live.

The APHC Chairman said unless the age-old wounds of military occupation are not healed and practical and concrete measures are not taken up by the occupiers and their perpetrators, human blood will continue to spill over and permanent political, economic and regional stability will remain a distant dream.

The Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar paid rich tributes to the martyred youth. It said the lingering Kashmir dispute is consuming precious human lives daily in occupied Kashmir and on the Line of Control and the Working Boundary as well. It said until the Kashmir dispute is not resolved, the conflict will continue to quench its thirst with human blood.

The statement said that instead of military might and aggressive policy, dialogue among Pakistan, India and the people of Kashmir was the way forward to settle the lingering dispute. The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement, Muhammad Shafi Lone in a statement issued in Srinagar also paid glowing tributes to the martyrs and said their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste.
