Roshni Plus Mobile Health Unit Inaugurated in Lahore

Lahore: The British High Commission’s Lahore Office and the Marie Stopes Society (MSS) have launched the Roshni Plus Mobile Health Unit, which is a fully equipped mobile unit designed to provide essential healthcare and family planning services to underserved communities in Lahore and Kasur districts. Head of the British High Commission’s Lahore Office, Ben Warrington, inaugurated the mobile health unit today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the initiative, supported by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), aims to improve access to healthcare, particularly for women and girls, in areas where medical facilities are limited. Speaking at the launch event, Ben Warrington reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to supporting women’s empowerment through access to modern contraceptives and reproductive health services. He said the Roshni Plus Mobile Health Unit is a significant step towards providing women with the healthcare they need, especially in underserved communities.
