Islamabad: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid has urged provincial governments to continue playing their positive role in further strengthening the BISP initiative. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, she emphasized the program’s transparency and digital nature, noting that its credibility is acknowledged globally.

According to Radio Pakistan, Rubina Khalid pointed out that the program is highly efficient, with administrative expenditures amounting to only one percent of its total budget. Highlighting the program’s impact on the education sector, she mentioned that over 17 million children are registered in the BISP’s Kafalat programme, with 216 billion rupees spent on child education under this initiative. Additionally, she noted that 3.6 million women are benefiting from the Benazir Nashounuma Programme under BISP.
