Rubina Launches ‘Green Pakistan, Benazir Pakistan’ Plantation Campaign

Islamabad: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, has launched the “Green Pakistan, Benazir Pakistan” tree plantation campaign in Islamabad by planting a sapling in connection with the Independence Day.

According to Radio Pakistan, Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized the importance of extending the plantation campaign beyond Independence Day, suggesting that it should continue throughout the year. This initiative is aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and encouraging public participation in tree planting efforts across the nation.

During the ceremony at the BISP Headquarters, Senator Rubina Khalid, along with children benefiting from the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Programme, also participated in a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate Independence Day. This event not only marked the beginning of the plantation campaign but also highlighted the involvement of children in national celebrations and environmental awareness activities.
