Russia and Pakistan Aim to Strengthen Defence and Economic Ties

Islamabad: In a significant diplomatic interaction, H.E. Albert P. Khorev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation, met with Pakistan’s Minister for Defence, Defence Production and Aviation, Khawaja Muhammad Asif. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral defence and economic cooperation between the two nations.

According to Press Information Department, the discussion revolved around various aspects of partnership, with an emphasis on defence, trade, energy, and people-to-people contacts. Minister Asif expressed Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace and security and highlighted the country’s desire to establish a long-term, multidimensional partnership with Russia.

The Russian Ambassador reassured his government’s commitment to collaborating with Pakistan in areas of mutual interest, signaling a potential strengthening of ties between the two countries in key strategic areas.
