Russian Deputy Defence Minister Meets Pakistan Air Chief to Enhance Military Cooperation

Islamabad: A high-level delegation led by Colonel General Aleksandr V. Fomin, Deputy Defence Minister of the Russian Federation, met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, at Air Headquarters. The meeting focused on strengthening military cooperation and industrial collaboration between Russia and Pakistan, exploring new avenues to enhance existing ties through joint military exercises and technical support for Pakistan Air Force equipment.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the Air Chief emphasized the importance of developing stronger military ties with Russia, highlighting opportunities for collaborative training programs, joint military drills, and industrial collaboration. Colonel General Fomin commended the recent advancements within the Pakistan Air Force under its current leadership and reiterated his commitment to further consolidating the defense partnership between the two countries through military cooperation and technical support.
