Russian Deputy Minister of Defence Meets Pakistan Army Chief to Discuss Security Cooperation

Rawalpindi: His Excellency Colonel General Alexander V. Fomin, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, engaged in discussions with General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, at the General Headquarters. The meeting focused on regional security and the enhancement of defense and security cooperation between the two nations.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the discussions addressed matters of mutual interest, with an emphasis on strengthening traditional defense ties. Both leaders expressed a commitment to enhancing collaboration in various defense and security domains.

Colonel General Fomin recognized the achievements of the Pakistan Army in countering terrorism and emphasized the necessity for a unified international approach to combat extremism.
