S.M. Muneer calls on Indian Minister of State for Commerce and Industry

Karachi, June 19, 2014 (PPI-OT): Mr. S.M. Muneer, Chief Executive TDAP called on Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman, Indian Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, today . Mr. Muneer was accompanied by Mr. Abdul Basit, High Commissioner for Pakistan and Ms. Rabiya Javeri Agha, Secretary, TDAP.

Both the Minister and the Chief Executive reaffirmed the commitment of their respective Governments to establish normal trading relations.

Minister Sitharaman and Mr. Muneer noted with satisfaction that there has been an enhanced interaction between the business communities of both the countries and several trade delegations have been exchanged.

Mr. Muneer shared salient aspects related to the Pakistan Lifestyle Exhibition being held in New Delhi from 10-14 September and hoped that such events would serve as a stepping stone for furtherance of bilateral economic goals. He also invited Minister for joint inauguration of the exhibition along with Pakistan’s Minister of Commerce. Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman assured all possible facilitation in successful holding of the Exhibition.
