Islamabad: Mr. Sami Wahid has been appointed as the General Manager for the Pakistan and Afghanistan Region of the Eurasia and Middle East Operation Unit at The Coca-Cola Company. With nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, strategy, and management, Mr. Wahid is set to guide strategic planning and lead commercial operations in the region.
Before joining Coca-Cola, Mr. Wahid was the Managing Director at Mondelez Pakistan, where he was recognized for advancing growth in markets across the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan. His tenure was marked by significant growth, fostering an innovative culture and enhancing brand success.
In a statement, Mr. Wahid highlighted Coca-Cola’s substantial investment in Pakistan, exceeding a billion dollars in Foreign Direct Investment in recent years. He expressed enthusiasm for further expansion in collaboration with Coca-Cola Içecek, the Turkey-based bottler. Coca-Cola, which has been present in Pakistan for over 70 years, has become an integral part of the country’s culture, with initiatives ranging from the popular Coke Studio to community-focused sustainability projects.
Mr. Wahid is also committed to sectoral growth, advocating for industry interests before regulatory bodies. He emphasizes his passion for environmental, governance, and sustainability issues. As the Senior Vice President of the American Business Council, he aims to champion initiatives that benefit the broader community.
