Sandy Area Transformed into Cultivable Soil under GPI

Pakistan: Pakistan is making significant strides under the Green Pakistan Initiative, transforming its agricultural landscape, boosting exports, and moving steadily towards self-sufficiency.

According to Radio Pakistan, CEO of Pantera Limited Furqan Ali Akhtar stated that a modern agricultural farm spanning eighteen hundred acres in Bhakkar was prepared in just sixty days, setting a new benchmark. He mentioned that thirteen central pivot systems and a 2.4-megawatt hybrid solar system are ensuring efficient irrigation on the farm.

According to Chief Operating Officer of Pantera Farms Farooq Saeed, this land consisted of sand dunes four months ago which have been made cultivable in a short period. He said out of the total eighteen hundred acres, thirteen hundred acres are under cultivation, where wheat and Rhodes grass are being grown, with Rhodes grass also being exported.
