Sarah Javed Named as Sindh’s First-Ever Female Christian DC

Karachi: The Sindh government has named Sarah Javed as the province’s first-ever female Christian Deputy Commissioner. Assigned to lead Sanghar district, this appointment signifies a remarkable step towards greater representation and inclusivity within Pakistan’s civil service.

According to Radio Pakistan, an officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) in Grade 18, Sarah Javed, has been transferred from her role as Deputy Secretary at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. She is set to take charge as Collector/Deputy Commissioner in Sanghar with immediate effect.

This progressive move underscores the importance of diversity and equal opportunities within public service, setting a precedent for a more inclusive future in Pakistan.
