Second Round of Government and Opposition Talks Underway in Islamabad

Islamabad:The second round of discussions involving the government, the Pakistan Peoples Party, and the opposition is currently taking place in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting is being chaired by National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. He expressed optimism that all parties will maintain a cordial atmosphere during the talks, as was the case in the previous meeting.

Representing the government are Federal Ministers Amir Muqam and Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah. The Pakistan Peoples Party delegation includes Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qamar, and Ejaz Hussain Jakhrani. The opposition is represented by Barrister Gohar Khan, Raja Nasir Abbas, Aamir Dogar, Asad Qaiser, Haleem Adil Sheikh, and Salman Akram Raja.
