Security Forces Foil Infiltration Attempt in Balochistan

ZHOB: Security forces in Balochistan successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by a group identified as Khwarij along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, resulting in the deaths of six individuals. The incident occurred in the Sambaza area of Zhob district and highlights ongoing security challenges in the region.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the troops effectively engaged the infiltrators, leading to the recovery of a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The statement emphasized the need for effective border management by the Interim Afghan Government, urging them to prevent Afghan soil from being used for terrorism against Pakistan.

Pakistan continues to press the Afghan authorities on the importance of securing the border. The ISPR reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to securing its borders and eradicating terrorism, underscoring the role of the security forces in maintaining national security.
