Security Forces Foil Major Terrorist Attempt in Wana

Islamabad: Security forces have thwarted a major terrorist attempt through a timely operation in Wana.

According to Radio Pakistan, an explosive-laden vehicle was destroyed by security forces in Wana, Lower South Waziristan before it could be used in a suicide attack. Security sources revealed that the explosives were intended for a significant terrorist operation. The operation was executed with precision, ensuring the protection of civilians’ lives and property.

Security sources further stated that the suicide vehicle was kept under continuous surveillance for three days, and it was targeted only after it had moved away from a populated area. In the successful operation, both the explosives-laden vehicle and a motorcycle were destroyed. One khariji was killed, and five others were injured in the process.
