Security Forces Operation in Bannu Leads to Deaths of Eight Militants, Loss of Three Soldiers

Bannu: An intelligence-based operation by security forces in the Bakka Khel area of Bannu District resulted in the death of eight militants, known as Khawarij, and injuries to seven others. The operation also claimed the lives of three Pakistani Army personnel following a fierce exchange of gunfire.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the martyrs included Major Atif Khalil, who was leading his troops on the frontlines, along with Naik Azad Ullah and Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas. The ISPR stated that Major Khalil showed immense bravery while commanding his team during the operation.

In a separate operation in Zhob District, one Khawarij was killed, and another was apprehended in an injured condition. The ISPR emphasized that security forces remain resolute in their efforts to eradicate terrorism, and the sacrifices of these soldiers reinforce the nation’s commitment to this cause.
