Senate Chairman Gilani Stresses Textile Sector’s Major Role in Pakistan’s Economy

Lahore: Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, the Chairman of the Senate, highlighted the crucial role of the textile sector in Pakistan’s economy during his address at the 7th International Conference on Textiles.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Gilani emphasized that the textile sector accounts for more than sixty percent of the country’s exports, marking a significant contribution to the national income. During the conference, the Senate Chairman also advocated for the production of high-quality textile products to enhance competitiveness in international markets.
