Senate of Pakistan corrects history

Islamabad, April 22, 2016 (PPI-OT):Senate of Pakistan passed historic resolution, correcting the serial numbering of Senate session so that constitutional scheme of continuity of house of federation is truly depicted. The Senate of Pakistan came into existence in 1973, with the promulgation of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and its first oath taking sessions that commenced on 6th August, 1973, the Senate has convened as many as 247 Session to-date.
