Series of Colourful Events Continuing in Peshawar on Defence and Martyrs’ Day

Islamabad: A series of colourful events is continuing in Peshawar on the occasion of Defence and Martyrs’ Day today under the auspices of Pakistan Army. Special ceremonies were held in this connection at Islamia Collegiate Peshawar and various other educational institutions, where students participated with great enthusiasm.

According to Radio Pakistan, officers and personnel of Pakistan Army attended the ceremonies, encouraged the students and appreciated their spirit of patriotism. The students joined the Pakistan Army personnel in flag-hoisting ceremonies. They also paid rich tributes to the supreme sacrifices rendered by the martyrs of Pakistan Army through speeches, national songs and tableaux.
