Several Investors Express Interest in Acquiring Stake in FESCO: Khurram

Islamabad: Advisor to Finance Minister, Khurram Schehzad, has announced that several domestic and international investors have shown interest in acquiring a majority stake in the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO).

According to Radio Pakistan, Khurram Schehzad shared in a post on X that the Privatization Commission has received expressions of interest for a fifty-one percent stake in FESCO from three Turkish companies, one Chinese company, and several Pakistani business groups. This move indicates an increasing investor interest in the country’s initiatives to reform its power sector.

FESCO is one of several distribution companies being considered for privatization, along with Gujranwala Electric Power Company and Islamabad Electric Supply Company.
