Shafay Hussain and Victor Fedeli Discuss Trade and Investment Opportunities

Islamabad: Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment Shafay Hussain, accompanied by an official delegation, met with Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development Victor Fedeli in Toronto. The meeting focused on exploring ways to enhance trade, investment, and commercial exchanges between the provinces of Punjab and Ontario.

According to Radio Pakistan, both ministers expressed appreciation for the growing economic engagement between Pakistan and Canada in recent years. During their discussions, they identified specific sectors such as agro-food, agri-tech, value addition, and supply chain management in dairy, livestock, poultry, energy, and Himalayan pink salt as areas with significant potential for deepening economic ties.

Additionally, the two sides explored opportunities for technology transfer and the promotion of business-to-business linkages between the provinces. The meeting underscored the commitment to strengthening economic collaboration and leveraging the opportunities available in both regions.
