Sharif Congratulates Lukashenko on Re-Election, Calls for Stronger Ties

Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulated President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus on his re-election during a phone call today, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and pursuing an economic partnership.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the Prime Minister emphasized the potential for transforming the longstanding friendly ties between Pakistan and Belarus into a mutually beneficial economic partnership. He recalled President Lukashenko’s visit to Islamabad in November and expressed anticipation for his own official visit to Minsk later this year.

President Lukashenko conveyed his gratitude for the congratulatory call and extended his best wishes for the progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan. Both leaders expressed a shared desire to enhance bilateral cooperation across all areas of mutual interest, building on the existing foundation of friendship and collaboration.
