Shaza Fatima Khawaja Urges TikTok to Prioritize Educational Content in Pakistan

Islamabad: In a meeting held in Islamabad, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, urged TikTok to focus on providing educational content on its platform for users in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a delegation from TikTok, led by Director of Public Policy Emir Gelen, met with Khawaja to discuss the company’s initiatives in the country. During the meeting, Khawaja emphasized the importance of making quality content available on social media, highlighting the platform’s significant user base in Pakistan. She assured the delegation of the Ministry’s full support in promoting educational material on TikTok.

The TikTok delegation assured the Minister that they would prioritize meaningful and quality content on their platform. They also expressed a willingness to collaborate closely with the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication to enhance the platform’s educational offerings in Pakistan.
