Shehbaz Sharif Invites Bahraini Investors to Explore Opportunities in Multiple Sectors

Manama: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended an invitation to Bahraini investors to explore various investment opportunities in sectors such as food security, IT, construction, mines and minerals, healthcare, renewable energy, and tourism. The invitation was extended during his meeting with the Crown Prince of Bahrain at the Al-Qudaibiya Palace.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister proposed enhanced port-to-port connectivity between Karachi, Gwadar, and Khalifa Bin Salman Port. He expressed gratitude for Bahrain’s support of the large Pakistani community residing there, reaffirming Pakistan’s readiness to provide more skilled manpower. He also welcomed further collaboration in higher education, technical training, and digital governance, acknowledging the King Hamad University initiative. Additionally, he thanked Bahrain for facilitating the release and repatriation of Pakistani nationals.

During the discussion, the Prime Minister highlighted the potential to increase bilateral trade from its current level of over 550 million dollars to one billion dollars within three years. The leaders discussed recent developments in Gaza, agreeing on the urgent need for peace and stability for the people who have endured hardship for decades. The meeting concluded with optimism that the discussions would lead to tangible outcomes, further elevating Pakistan-Bahrain relations across strategic, economic, security, and people-to-people domains.

Earlier, upon arrival at the palace, the Prime Minister was presented with a guard of honour. Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to the Crown Prince for the warm hospitality and praised Bahrain’s leadership in strengthening bilateral ties.
