Shehbaz Sharif Vows to Eradicate Polio from Country

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the government’s firm resolve to eradicate polio from the country. He was addressing a ceremony held in Islamabad today in connection with the World Polio Day.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif paid tribute to the polio field-workers who have done a remarkable job in challenging areas during recent times. He emphasized the courage, determination, and unwavering commitment of the polio workers, stating that the nation owes a huge gratitude to them.

The Prime Minister also extended his thanks to international partners, including UNICEF and the World Health Organization, for their support. He particularly expressed gratitude to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his significant contributions in collaboration with the Bill Gates Foundation towards this noble cause.
