Sibi Officials Rally Community Support for Polio Vaccination Efforts

Sibi: In a concerted effort to eradicate polio, key health officials including District Health Officer Dr. Akbar Solangi and UNICEF Emergency Specialist Shiraz Ahmed Baloch, alongside local commissioners, have been actively mobilizing resources to promote vaccinations among the youngest residents of Sibi. Their campaign underscores the effectiveness of vaccinations as the primary preventive measure against the disease, which can lead to severe disabilities.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during a series of events, the health officials emphasized the critical importance of just two drops of the vaccine in securing a child’s future against polio. They have called on parents and leaders from all walks of life in the community to support the vaccination drive. The initiative began with Commissioner Sibi Division Syed Zahid Shah, Deputy Commissioner Sibi Jahanzeb Sheikh, and other officials administering polio drops to children, demonstrating their commitment to a polio-free future.
