SIFC Directs Swift Implementation of Key Motorway, Highway Projects

Islamabad: The Executive Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has called for the rapid implementation of significant motorway and highway projects across Balochistan, Punjab, and Sindh. This directive emerged from the 13th meeting of the Committee, chaired by Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Committee placed particular emphasis on completing highways and motorways that connect to ports, leveraging private sector investment through public-private partnerships. The meeting involved a review of progress on various projects falling under key sectors of the SIFC.

During the session, several ministries presented comprehensive plans aimed at accelerating the development of these projects. Furthermore, the Committee directed the expeditious resolution of various outstanding cross-sectoral issues through policy-level initiatives and consultations with stakeholders, utilizing the SIFC forum effectively.
