SIFC giving priority to transparent privatization of Govt departments

Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is giving priority to the transparent privatization of government departments as per the international standards.

In the first phase, PIA, DISCOs, First Women Bank and others are being privatized with the support of SIFC.

Apart from the financial deficit, the total liabilities of PIA have increased from 200 billion rupees to 830 billion rupees.

According to the data released by the government, the DISCOs have incurred a loss of over 376 billion rupees. By reducing this deficit from the national exchequer through transparent privatization, the government can take more measures for public welfare.
