SIFC’s Efforts Revitalize Mining Sector in Pakistan

Islamabad: Special Investment Facilitation Council’s effective efforts have revitalized Pakistan’s mining sector and promoted investment. After nearly two years of suspension in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, mining licenses have been reissued. The process for mining licenses, suspended since March 2024, has now been reactivated through SIFC’s strategically coordinated efforts.

According to Radio Pakistan, this move is expected to lead to significant growth in investment, research and development activities within the mining sector. There will be economic growth and employment generation as a result of utilizing the mineral resources of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
