Sindh and Bulgaria to Collaborate on Culture and Agriculture

Karachi: The Sindh Government has announced significant initiatives aimed at the protection and empowerment of women. The meeting, held at the Chief Minister’s House, focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring areas of mutual interest, including culture and agriculture.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, both parties expressed interest in collaborating across various sectors such as agriculture, trade, education, and culture. The Chief Minister welcomed the ambassador, highlighting the longstanding diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Bulgaria that date back to 1964. He emphasized the potential for universities in Sindh and Bulgaria to engage in joint educational and research initiatives, noting Sindh’s rich cultural heritage as the center of the Indus civilization.

Miss Gancheva noted that Bulgaria, with a population smaller than Karachi’s, has a significant agriculture sector, particularly in sunflower cultivation. She also mentioned that Bulgarian scholars are actively studying Sindhi literature and culture. The meeting also touched upon the rehabilitation efforts for flood victims in Sindh, with the Chief Minister stating that the construction of 2.1 million houses for those affected is progressing swiftly.
