Sindh Cabinet Allocates Rs916 Million for Prison Inmates’ Food Needs

Karachi: Sindh Cabinet has approved supplementary grants worth over 916 million rupees to meet food requirements of inmates in prisons across the province. The cabinet meeting, held in Karachi and chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, focused on addressing the nutritional needs of the incarcerated population.

According to Radio Pakistan, the cabinet also took administrative steps to enhance the supply chain and stabilize wheat reserves in Sindh. These measures aim to ensure food security and efficient distribution within the province, addressing both current needs and future contingencies.

In addition to food-related decisions, the cabinet approved the upgrade of the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Violence and Recreational Park in Sukkur. This development is part of broader efforts to improve public amenities and recreational facilities in the region. Furthermore, the cabinet decided to establish a special block for women at the Masoom Shah Library in Sukkur, highlighting a commitment to enhancing educational resources and accessibility for women.
