Sindh Government Collaborates with World Bank on Child Stunting Strategy

Islamabad: Sindh government and World Bank have agreed on a comprehensive strategy to address child stunting in the province.

According to Radio Pakistan, the agreement was reached during a meeting between Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and a World Bank delegation, led by its Country Director Bolormaa Amgaabazar, in Karachi today [Monday]. The key focus of the meeting was to integrate multiple sectors such as health, nutrition, clean water, sanitation, social protection, and agriculture under a unified framework to tackle the issue effectively.

The meeting also emphasized the need to enhance maternal and child nutrition, immunization, and family planning services. These services will be bolstered through concerted efforts within the health and social protection sectors, aiming to provide a robust support system for addressing child stunting in Sindh.
