Karachi, February 27, 2023 (PPI-OT):Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori has said that the children of the computer age are moving away from the games played on the field, now their preference is laptops and mobile phones, but today a large number of children are happy to participate in the games. He expressed these views while addressing the closing ceremony of the annual sports week of Eastern Municipality.
When Governor Sindh entered to participate in the annual sports week, all the students gave him a warm welcome. Member Provincial Assembly Rana Ansar, former MNA Abda Laqader Khanzada, Administrator Baldia Sharqi Syed Shakeel Ahmed, Municipal Commissioner Faheem Khan and others were also present on this occasion.
Governor Sindh further said that I feel very happy to see the enthusiasm of the students, coming here reminded me of my school days. He said that children’s distance from physical exercise games is making them restless. Centers used to be big matches between school and college teams, but today computers, laptops and now mobiles have taken physical games away from children and limited them to the screens of laptops and mobile phones.
He said that children performed well in tug-of-war, spoon race, sack race, and other competitions of this sports week, while the participation of about 2000 children from 26 schools in this sports week is welcome. Governor Sandhu said that in these competitions. I invite the participating children to open the fast at the Governor’s House.
I hope that other local bodies will also organize such competitions and I also hope that this series will continue in the future. He said that since March 3, Karachi Games will be held in these games, there will be 42 sports competitions.
Later, while talking to the media, Governor Sindh said that the Prime Minister has assured me that he will give priority to the problems faced by the city. In this regard, the Prime Minister will visit Karachi on the first week of March and will also meet with all the stakeholders of the city.
