Sindh Governor Raises Alarm Over Rising Traffic Accidents in Karachi

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri has voiced his concern following a severe traffic accident in the Site area of Karachi, which resulted in multiple deaths and injuries. The governor highlighted the frequent traffic incidents in the city as a significant indicator of the failing performance of the relevant authorities.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesuri expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, praying for the deceased’s forgiveness and higher ranks, and for patience for the bereaved families. He pointed out that the increasing number of traffic accidents in Karachi, often referred to as the city of Quaid, raises serious questions about the efficacy of the responsible institutions.

Governor Tesuri emphasized the need for the traffic department to play a more active role in ensuring road safety. He insisted that vehicles lacking a road fitness certificate should not be permitted on the streets under any circumstances, suggesting that stricter enforcement of this regulation could prevent future tragedies.
