Sindh Govt Announces Public Holiday on Aug 9 to Mark Urs of Sufi Poet

Karachi: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday in the province on Saturday to mark Urs of Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.

According to Radio Pakistan, a notification has been issued stating that all Sindh government offices and educational institutions will remain closed, except for the department of essential services. The holiday is in observance of the annual commemoration of the revered Sufi poet, providing an opportunity for residents to pay their respects and engage in traditional festivities.
