Sindh Govt Launches Campaign Against Overcharging of Fares

Karachi: The Sindh government has launched a campaign against the overcharging of fares during Eid-ul-Adha. Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon has issued instructions to the relevant authorities to take immediate action against transporters charging excessive fares in their respective areas.

According to Radio Pakistan, the initiative aims to protect citizens from being exploited during the festive period when demand for transport typically surges. The Sindh government has provided a WhatsApp number, 0300-3495375, allowing citizens to file complaints if they encounter fare overcharging. This move is part of a broader effort to ensure fair pricing and to hold transporters accountable.
