Sindh Govt Launches Environment-Friendly EV Taxi Service

Karachi: The Sindh government has decided to launch an environment-friendly electric vehicle (EV) taxi service across the province. This initiative aims to promote sustainable and clean transportation options for the residents of Sindh.

According to Radio Pakistan, the decision was made during a meeting chaired by Sindh’s Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, in Karachi. The minister emphasized the importance of developing a robust EV charging network to support the new taxi service, ensuring accessibility across major urban and rural areas of the province.

Sharjeel Memon also announced the establishment of a regulatory body to oversee and regulate the operations of the EV taxi service. This body will ensure that the service is efficiently managed and adheres to set standards, contributing to the overall success of the initiative.
