Karachi, February 24, 2020 (PPI-OT):Sindh Minister for Local Government and Information Syed Nasir Hussain Shah today surprisingly visited Civic Center the office of the Sindh Building Control Authority. Secretary Local Government Roshan Ali Shaikh along with him. On the occasion Syed Nasir Hussain Shah advised the aggrieved people to register their complaints regarding illegal constructions related with Sindh Building Control Authority at local government’s help line No. 1093 so as the strict action could be taken against those who are involved in the business of illegal construction.
He warned that no any person or construction company be spared who found involved in this practice at any cost. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah further directed that a cell should be established at one window facility established in SBCA which also be connected with helpline of local government so as prompt action be possible on the public complaints in this connection.
Roshan Ali Shaikh, Secretary Local Government disclosed that officers of SBCA always register FIR under the Section B-11 against the responsible persons, which prove ineffective but now the officers of SBCA would register FIRs against the people or any construction company who found involved in the practice under the section of SBCA which would be more effective and fruitful action against them than the past practice.
On the occasion Sindh Minister for Local Government and Information directed that overseas committee be established for with honest and professional persons from civil society be included in the committee, he said increase would be possible in demolishing squad of SBCA so as the speed of anti-encroachment campaign be accelerated. Talking to media men, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah disclosed strict action had been taken against over 900 illegal constructions. He warned builders who are indulged in fraud with people would also be dealt with iron hands and the money of the poor people would be refunded to the deserving from them. He told that during cleanliness drive from the various districts lacs of ton garbage removed.
He said that as per vision and directive’s of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari various projects costing crores of rupees had been completed in Karachi where as others are underway in those areas where from PPP not won. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said according to the directive of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari all development projects would completed without any discrimination, no care where PPP not won from those areas of Karachi.
