Islamabad: A demonstration session for the Single Sales Tax Return (SSTR) specifically targeting internet service providers and broadband services was conducted on October 7, 2024, at the headquarters of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
According to Federal Board of Revenue, the event was led by a team from the Pakistan Raises Revenue Program, in collaboration with members from PRAL and the FBR IT team. The session aimed to streamline the process of sales tax returns for businesses in the digital communication sector. Key industry players including representatives from Nayatel, Transworld, Cybernet, Multinet, and WI tribe attended the demonstration, highlighting the sector’s engagement in adopting this new streamlined tax return system.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to simplify tax procedures and enhance compliance among businesses operating in Pakistan’s rapidly growing digital services market.
